On this snowy afternoon, I was thinking about our great classes -- the mix of children this year is truly special. I hope the children are enjoying their year as much as we are having fun working with them!
A reminder about snacks...
Thank you to all of the families who have been providing snacks this year. I think the snack donation calendar is almost filled for the entire year! If you need a note to help you purchase snack items, please let us know. We only need fresh items such as cheese, yogurt, applesauce, fruit and vegetables. The school provides the crackers, cookies and chips.
Please check pockets!
We have recently introduced cylinders into our sensorial work. These cylinders are varied sizes, and come in groups of red, blue, green and yellow. The children have enjoyed putting them in order, matching them to the like-sized knobbed cylinders, and building with them. The only problem we have is that we are missing several of them. We may still find them behind a bookcase, or rolled up in a mat, but if you could keep an eye on your child's pockets we would appreciate it!
Valentines...
Valentine's Day is coming quickly! The 3-Day class will celebrate on Friday the 10th, the 2-Day class will celebrate on Tuesday the 14th. We would like each child to bring 18 valentines on the day of the party for his/her class. PLEASE DO NOT PUT NAMES ON THE VALENTINES! We will be decorating bags in class to put the Valentines in. Then, on the day of the party, the bags are lined up and the children put one Valentine in each bag, not looking at the name on the bag. So, please do not put names on the "to" portion of the Valentine -- of course the children can sign the Valentines, saying who they are from! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
